Center for Craft's Materials Collection in Asheville, NC brings together over 100 materials used in craft today, from wood, metal, and clay to newer alternatives like bioplastics and algae-based ink, tracing the relationship between craft and material innovation. Fun Stuff Design designed and built the collection's Material Library, a standalone piece that holds and displays various material samples within it.

We made a custom orange, red, yellow, and white blend from recycled 3D-printer waste, then thermoformed it into the curved components that shape the piece. A library built to hold materials, holding one of its own that most people would have thrown away.
